The FC5FS and FC10FS Fused Silica version have an air-spaced, multi-element design that gives a highly collimated, clean Gaussian beam with low wavefront error.
These fiber collimators are available with a broadband AR coating covering the UV region and 2mm region. The adjustable focus feature allows the collimators to be optimize for your wavelength and be locked down.
In the UV region, typical applications have been in spectroscopy where no fluorescence is generated by the optics. In the 1.8-3mm region, fiber lasers and Mid IR lasers can take advantage of these fiber collimators.
